The best way to get into show biz has to be to network!

You will find that its all connected like a big circle evryone knows evryone else, and getting somewhere in the buisness can be the difference of who you know or who gets a chance to see or hear you what you have to offer.

Make It Happen

Don't sit around and expect the world to notice you Do something so that people will remeber you in whatever you do! I don't mean go rob a bank or go on a mass killing spree. If you really want it go after it -

Id rather be an astronaut than an astronomer! Astronaut goes out and touches the stars -
Astronomer sits on his a** looking at the stars that are shining! Think about that one...

Build Rappore

Keep in touch with people you meet! Don't just collect buisness cards! A lot of deals go down on the premise of the relationships that people have. People always name drop on you quick of who they know but in the end thats not what matters! Building rappore is paramount!!!!!! Cause when you name drop people do their homework to see if people that you say you "WORK WITH" or that "YOU KNOW" - really know you..... its to be expected.

Don't Burn Your Bridges

This may even fall under networking but its important to metnion that sometimes the people that help you on your way up may be the same people that keep you from falling down

Evry resource that is available to you should be explored as a possibility of getting somewhere. You never know who has a cousin,sister,brother,or friend that can help you out.

Be Easy Going And Open Minded

Patience is a good thing!

Don't act so culture shocked when you meet people that aren't exactly like you.
Be careful with stereo typing people cause that fat unibrow peg legged man that farts and picks at his butt may be the owner,producer,director,or main man you need to talk to.

On the other hand watch your back!!! a lot people talk a good game but they may not be out hook you up with anything more than themselves. If you haven't taken notes anywhere else from this advice listen to what I just wrote.

Bring up what you do as often as possible if you think it will help you and not make you out to be someone who just talks about themselves all the time. Personality is a big thing in showbiz its gotten me pretty far. Be careful with name dropping always good to explain just how well you know someone or "work with" them people do their homework on you sometimes so study this and you may end up with extra credit! On the other hand there is a way to name drop once you meet and know someone and have good rappore with them drop it like its hot! Often times you get peoples attention doing that if your working with someone they are intrested in. But then always have some sort of leverage...dont give out all your connects cause then who needs you.
